We did it for the FOOD! Baltimore Maryland Food Finds 🦀🍩

Let it be known, we have mad respect for food, and the people that help bring tasty goodness to our mouths. We are VERY food motivated.

I typically do extensive food research beforehand (Yelp + foodie friends) and always listen to suggestions from the locals.

Notable habits: 1/2 gluten free 1/2 alcohol free.
Most likely to seek out: Coffee, Cider, French Fries,Tacos, Bagels, Pizza, and Pastries. Seafood if close to local catch.

Baltimore is known as the "Charm City" for all its hidden treasures, and we found some serious food gems.

Downtown: Lexington Market:
The Public Market is open Monday to Friday, 6am to 5pm & Sat 7am- 5pm.

An iconic indoor public marketplace established in 1782.  The ultimate "food hall" we all wish we had.  A fairly compact open space with communal table tops and variety of international food options.

It felt friendly, warm, and exciting.
All the things that say: tacos and french fries, a Mexican coke and a decaf boba oreo tea please.

Charro Negro Mexican Bite: Served us up authentic "Mexico City" style chicken tacos with fresh white onions, cilantro, and cucumber and lemons on side. Along with delicious CRISPY french fries and of course a Mexican Coke.
Kokee Tea"Hug in a cup" tasty Taiwanese decaf orea bubble tea.

Once you step outside of this food mecca, check out the vibrate street murals all around. Also Edgar Allen Poes grave is close by!

Inner Harbor: Baked Goods and Pastries Please ✔️ (not gluten free)
Kneads Bakeshop and Cafe: A bakeshop and café run by artisans, specializing in crafting breads and baked goods entirely from scratch on-site.
Vaccaros Italian Pastry Shop: Classic Siciliano pastries and espressos since 1956.

Hampden
The Charmery Ice Cream: Hand crafted real fruit, thoughtfully sourced ice cream from happy cows. Fun seasonal flavors and classics.

👀 the neighboring historic apartment building, with THE narrowest front doors we've ever seen. If anyone knows how people get couches and refrigerators through these doors, inquiring minds want to know.

Missed Taste Experiences: plz let us know if you have recommendations
